To make your stay as pleasant as possible, we like to share with you the little details we value at The Kamaya. It’s only a reminder of the things you would do at home, and what you expect your guests to do at your home.
- When you turn it on, please turn it off after use
- When you open something, please close it again
- If you break something, please repair or replace it
- If you borrow something, please return it & place it back where you got it
- When you use something, take gentle care of it
- Keep the property clean, and clean up after yourself
- Use the facilities and equipment in a way they were meant to be used
- Respect your environment and each other
- Quiet hours are from 10PM to 7AM
- Strictly no smoking or any kind of drugs on the property
- Lock up your valuables, not only humans take things, animals do too!
- Outside guests are welcome to visit, they are not allowed to spend the night
- Strictly no violence and/or weapons at the property
Visiting the Temples
When visiting the temples of Angkor, please keep in mind you visit sacred sites. There are 100’s of temples, and there is no way you get to see them all. One temple is even more mindblowing than the other, but they all require respect. Please keep in mind the code of conduct as set up by the Cambodian Government:
- Follow the dress code
- Respect the monuments and its history
- You are visiting a sacred site, act appropiately
- Stay away from restricted areas
- Don't smoke or litter anywhere and use the appointed rubbish bins
- Don't give the children money or food, or any other token encouraging them
- Respect monks and ask for pictures, don't touch monks
When visiting Angkor Wat, it’s important to dress appropriately. Please wear long pants that cover your knees and shirts that cover your shoulders. Skirts, short shorts, and tank tops are not allowed inside the temple grounds. If your clothing is too revealing, you may be turned away.
Always be well prepared to avoid any surprises.
Nothing is more upsetting than unknowingly upsetting someone else.
